This week: “In God We Trust”
Many of us, if asked, would say we trust God. We trust God with our salvation and our forgiveness; our health and our eternity. Yet, so often, when it comes to the tangible things in life, our cantaloupes, we draw the line and forget that trusting God with everything calls for action on our part. With Proverbs 3:5-6, 9-10 as the focal passages for this message, we will be reminded that trusting God requires us to honor God with more than just words. Together we will discover how to live trust out on the rugged plains of reality.
If you want to get baptized on Baptism Day, Sunday 08-17-08, contact Pastor Scott as soon as possible.

I would like to extend to you an invitation to join us next Wednesday Night, here at the church, 6:30 p.m. for our "Usher and Greeter Orientation Dinner".
This dinner is for those who are considering being an Usher or Greeter and to celebrate with our present Ushers and Greeters the great job that they are currently doing. As you may know, I feel that the Usher and Greeter Ministry is one of the most important ministries of our church. Before I stand up and preach on Sundays, our first time guest will have already decided if they are willing to return to Believers Church for a second visit. Their decision is based on how they are treated when they arrive. We want to extend to them our love, acceptance, and forgiveness. We want to treat them like they are sitting in our living rooms.
At the orientation dinner I will share with you my vision for this ministry and then you can decide if this is the right ministry for you. We at Believers Church are family and it is important for every family member to serve in some form of ministry.
You may be involved in a ministry already, but the Usher and Greeter Ministry doesn’t require a lot out of you, you are hear on Sundays already, and we can work around any other obligations that you may have.
We need to make sure that we have enough food for everyone so please let me know if you can attend. You can reply to this blog, e-mail me, call the church office at 681-1440, or sign up in the church foyer this Sunday.
Please give this request prayerful consideration. My hope is that you will attend the Orientation Dinner.
Serving Together With You,
