I will never forget my first lie. I used my brother’s bow and arrow without permission, broke it, hid the evidence, and lied about having anything to do with it. Nobody taught me how to lie; I just knew how to do it.
No human has to be trained in telling a lie. Lying is inherent in man’s fallen nature.
We are not in bondage to lie, but lying is not surgically removed when you are born again. Paul describes it more as choosing what to wear, what to put on. You can put on lying or put on truth.
