Every year when we string up our lights and set up our nativity scene and begin to talk about the story of Christmas.  We talk about the Baby Jesus / Mary / Joseph / Angels / The Sheppard’s / Donkeys and Sheep / Wise Men / Camels, and we even have made up a few characters such as the little drummer boy.  But there are two characters in the Christmas story that we often forget and are very seldom mentioned at Christmas time.  Far too often we forget about the role of Simeon and Anna.

We have been talking about Jesus being the light of Christmas, and This Sunday we will focus on Simeon, who declared that Jesus would be, “a Light for Revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.”  What does that mean?  Join us at 9 or 11 a.m. and see what it means for Jesus to be our Light of Revelation!
